SPORTS AGAINST CRIME EVENTDepartment of Community Safety and Transport Management Crime Prevention Unit has cooperated with a number of Government Departments and local stakeholders in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District municipality in Vryburg for “Sports Against Crime Campaign”. The Department is targeting schools around Vryburg to educate learners about dangers of substance abuse, being in possession of dangerous weapon in the school premises and in communities. By doing so the Department is encouraging learners to participate on various sports activities which will help them to be healthy, active and able to perform and produce good results sober minded. As the sports is one of the activity that unite the people throughout the world, it is a good course for which the parent must also encourage their kids to take part and be the stars of tomorrow and be able to represent South Africa in the world stage. The campaign will continue to other districts in the province.
